Touched My Life, If Even For Only A Moment In Time.
Some Are Still Living, Others Have Gone Home To Their Creator, Jesus Christ.

This Blog Is Dedicated To Miss Kitty. Gone But Never Forgotten

Please allow me to introduce you to the newest member of the PAWS family

This afternoon when I came home from school three neighbor girls were sitting down in front of my house.
They had a box and inside the box was this little kitten just looking for a home. I know I'll never see Miss Kitty again, but from the kindness of 3 girls comes the newest member of the PAWS family. We decided to name him Tigre or maybe I'll change the name to Puma. What do you think would be a good name for this little kitten?
Can you see the little thing under my blankets? Daisy wasn't sure what to make of the newest addition to David's petting zoo. Daisy always sleeps right next to me at night, and I'm not sure if she likes the idea of competition. lol
For being so small, she seems really tame and not all scared of my dogs. My dogs were curious about her though. I'm going to have to be careful with Ojita around the kitten. Ojita loves to play rough and she might accidentally hurt the kitten.

Watch Ojita take on the neighbors cat. My neighbors cat seems to have moved in ever since Miss Kitty died. But the neighbors cat isn't anything like sweet Miss Kitty was. Miss Kitty was very gentle with my dogs. Not like my neighbors Monster Cat is!

Meet Scruffy 2

A year ago on October 19th 2009, Scruffy was hit by a car and killed. My heart ached for weeks afterward.
If you'd like to know more about my original Scruffy, please scroll down this page and you'll come to a post about my beloved Scruffy.

Well earlier this year in 2010, Scruffy2 came into my life. Here's how it happened.
I went to visit a friend. When I got to his house I noticed a dog that was so weak from hunger he could hardly stand up. His fur was missing and he had ticks and other bugs on him. They couldn't take care of the dog and I brought him home to my house. I gave him a warm shampoo bath to remove all the bugs and ticks, and that's when I noticed how much he reminded me of my original Scruffy. And so I named my new dog Scruffy2 in memory of my original Scruffy. The first 2 pics are Scruffy2 after giving him a bath when I first brought him home earlier this year. The last 2 pics are more recent pics of Scruffy today. And the video is Scruffy2 trying to play with Miss Kitty a few months ago before Miss Kitty died earlier this month.

Scruffy2 has become very loyal and protective of me. He's a great watch dog, and he loves running and playing with me.

The Gentle Side of Nature

You Can Almost Smell The Fresh Air

How's My Puppy Doing?

In my other blog I was sharing with you the story of my sick puppy and how I needed to rush her to the vet. She was vomiting everywhere. The vet told me she had a infection in her bowels and the poor little thing was really sick. He gave her 2 shots, and she was so sick she didn't even whimper. The vet asked me if I knew how to give injections? I'm not really too fond of needles and I'd never be able to stick a needle into my puppy, and so I said no I don't know anything about giving shots. He then told me to bring Ojita back again the next day and see how she's doing. The vet told me no food or water for 3 days. Just enough water to wet her tongue but nothing more. Well the next day came around and little Ojita was doing better. She was still weak, but at least she was trying to move around a bit more instead of sleeping all the time. I took her back to the vet and he looked at her and he gave her 2 more injections. This time she let out a loud HOWL!!! That howl was music to my ears because it meant she's getting better. And now today, she's fine. She's back to running around all over the house. You might have noticed she only has one eye. I'm not sure what happened to her other eye but she gets around fine with just one eye.

About 2 months ago a friend found her wandering aimlessly around in the busy grocery store parking lot. He picked her up and took her to my house. I named her Ojita because of her one eye. If my friend hadn't picked her up and brought her to my house, she would have been dead by now. The grocery store parking lot is busy with cars coming and going all day long. I don't need to say what would have happened to her. But the good news is, my friend brought her to my house and she's doing fine and she's happy as happy can be! (*_*)

Pretty in Yellow

Today I was walking to the bakery with Rike when I saw these flowers who was practically begging me to take their pics.

Blowing In The WInd

Today when I was coming home from school, I saw this Sunflower blowing in the wind. It was difficult to capture the Sunflower because the wind kept moving the Sunflower back and forth. After about 5 tries I finally got it.

In Memory of Scruffy - Died October 2009

This Is A Repost From October 2009

My names David. I'm 16 and in deep pain right now. About 2 weeks ago I found a dog. He was laying in the middle of street divider that divides the 2 way traffic. I picked him up in my arms, and we struck an immediate friendship. Animals have a built in sense when someone is trying to help them. And they never forget the person who came to their rescue. I carried him back to my house and put him into our car so he wouldn't run away while I was in school. The poor thing had obviously been abandoned. A lot of his fur was gone, and he was nothing but skin and bones. I gave him some food and water and then I went to school.

Later in the day when I got back home from school I took Scruffy out of our car. I took him to the backyard and gave him a good flea bath. He hated it. But you know what? After we finished getting each other all wet, I think he felt a lot better without all the nasty fleas biting him. And then we went for a walk. People stared at me and Scruffy. Haven't they ever seen a dog before? Scruffy stayed right alongside me. We went to a friends house. But nobody was home. And so me and Scruffy walked back home again. When we got home I sat down in a chair and Scruffy tried to climb up onto my lap. I picked him up and he curled up into a ball in my lap and went to sleep.

He's not much to look at, but he's got a heart full of love. I named him Scruffy. He looks like a Scruffy, huh??

Scruffy was really a sweet dog. I think he was part Poodle.
Every day when I came home from school Scruffy would be waiting for me and when he saw me he'd get so excited and he'd stand up on his back legs and just start jumping up and down. I'd bend over and he'd leap up into my arms and put his head right next to my face. He never wanted me to put him down. He just wanted to stay with me all the time.

But now Scruffy's dead.

On Monday October 19th I put him in the backyard so I could help my mom and my brother move stuff with her car.

As were driving away from the house I saw Scruffy in the street. I yelled Scruffy's in the street! Scruffy's in the street!

My brother said he let Scruffy out of the yard because he didn't want him in the yard.

Just then a car hit Scruffy. I jumped out of the car and ran over to scruffy and picked Scruffy up in my arms. I yelled at my brother Scruffy's dead!

My brother just shrugged his shoulders, and said, "so what?"

I carried Scruffy to the church and I buried him behind the church.

If there is a God, why do you bring so much pain and suffering into my life?

Is there anyone here who can help me to truly believe that I will see Scruffy again someday? He gave so much love. And for Scruffy to die such a horrible death is so unfair. Nobody loved Scruffy. But I loved him so much and now he's gone.

Yesterday one of my best friends emailed me a pic that she took this past Sunday of me and Scruffy. I'd forgotten about it.
When I opened her email and saw Scruffy in my arms just as happy and he could be, seeing that pic ripped my heart in half. She told me that she had the photo printed by Kodak and she's going to give it to me the next time she sees me.

I'm not ready yet to look at that pic again. The pain is too real, and the wound too fresh for me to see something that I loved so dearly that was taken so violently away from me.

Please if there is somebody here who can help me to believe that Scruffy is in a safe place where he can finally find the love that he wanted so much to have but could never find here on earth. Please help me to believe that I will see Scruffy again someday.

My friends tell me that when an animal dies they just cease to exist and that's the end of them.

I don't want to think that Scruffy had such a hard and lonely life and then dies from being hit by a car and that's the end of Scruffy. I don't want to believe that it's for him. Scruffy doesn't deserve that. His love was boundless. And I want someone to tell me for sure that he's ok now and that Scruffy will never suffer again, and he will never be lonely again. And the love he has will live on forever. Please somebody tell me that Scruffy is ok now. Please tell me.

Garfield
Died June 2010 Hit By A Car

Garfield was one of the most loving and gentle cat's I've ever known. I've never seen a cat so tame that he would allow someone to pick him up and hold him upside down and he'd just hang there upside down! My mom would occasionally allow Garfield to come into the house. But most of the time he was made to stay outside. And outside is where he died after being hit and killed by a car in June 2010. When I moved in with my dad in his house I should have taken Garfield with me and he'd probably still be alive today. Why do the good always die before their time?

Lobo
Born 2005 - Died 2008
Hit by a car

Lobo was a dog that any boy would love to have. He enjoyed running with me and playing with me and just being my best friend. My mom at the time didn't take much of a liking to animals. She's since changed her ways and is more tolerant of my four legged friends. But one fateful day someone didn't close the gate and Lobo got out and was hit by a car and killed. When I got home from school the first thing I noticed was Lobo was missing. I asked my mom where's Lobo? He's dead, she said. I said what do you mean he's dead??!!! My mom said that Lobo got hit by a car and his body is laying somewhere down the street. I ran out the front door of the house and I ran as fast as I could down the street, and then I saw his lifeless body laying in the middle of the street. My best friend, dead and gone. My heart broke and my tears flowed.

Mommy Cat

Mommy Cat was very very shy. She'd showed up at our house one day and made our house her new home. She would only let me come to within a few feet from her and then she'd run under the house. She had several litters of kittens, most of whom eventually died from predators that come down from the mountains at night looking for food.

Scratchy

Scratchy loved being petted. He'd let me pet her over and over again. And then she'd come back for some more. She was a very good mommy to her kittens.

Lucky

I named him Lucky because he was he was a small kitten wandering the streets he was "lucky" to be found by a friend of mine who brought him to my house. Lucky loved sleeping next to me at night.

Sammy

Sammy wasn't much of a lap cat. She didn't didn't like being touched or petted. Eventually she let me pet her but for only a few seconds before she'd back away.
